Hello and welcome — I’m Heather, the heart behind Setareh Bunnies, where soft aesthetics meet ethical, purpose-driven Holland Lop breeding.

My journey into breeding didn’t begin with rabbits — it began decades ago with ethical dog breeding, orphaned kitten rescue, and a lifelong veterinary background. Over the last 35+ years, I’ve worked alongside veterinarians (including exotics vets), raised 12 litters of puppies, bottle-raised 50+ orphan kittens, and created multiple safe, research-based educational spaces for animal lovers.

Setareh Bunnies is the next chapter of that lifelong calling.

🌙 What I Bring to My Program
   •   35+ years in veterinary medicine — giving me a strong foundation in health, prevention, and early intervention
   •   Ethical breeding background — raising Westies, Yorkies, and Standard Poodles with meticulous screening and socialization
   •   Extensive research + continuous education — I don’t “wing it.” I deep-dive, study, and stay current on rabbit health and care
   •   Gentle handling + temperament focus — my priority is calm, confident, deeply loved bunnies raised with daily interaction
   •   Celestial-inspired dilute lines — specializing in Lilac Chinchilla + dilute Holland Lops with soft color palettes and sweet, steady personalities

I’m applying for membership with ARBA and the Holland Lop Rabbit Specialty Club, because I’m committed to building a program with intention, transparency, and the betterment of the breed in mind.

🐰 How I Approach Breeding

My program is small, selective, and heart-led.

Every pairing is planned with:
✨ temperament first
✨ type and structure second
✨ color/theme third — focusing on soft, celestial-inspired dilutes

Babies are raised in my home, with hands-on socialization, sensory exposure, early litter habits, and gentle daily cuddles. They are never rushed, never mass-produced, and always placed with intention.

I am here for the lifetime of every bunny I produce — from adoption day forward. If a family’s situation ever changes, my bunnies always have a place to come back to.

Because rabbits aren’t “starter pets.”

They are emotional, intuitive, deeply sensitive companions — and they deserve breeders who understand that.

My goal is to offer:

   •   aesthetic, peaceful spaces to learn and connect

Setareh Bunnies exists because Poppy — my lilac Holland Lop — brought healing and warmth into my life. I want to help others feel that same soft magic.
